MAISON CARRE – JEAN BARTHET EXHIBITION

MAISON CARREE X LYOR AMAR INTERNATIONAL.

We are thrilled to announce our new collaboration with @naymaisoncarree and @barthetparis @alexandrebarthet . We will be in charge of the press relations of the exhibition – Jean Barthet prince des chapeaux.

For its summer season, La Maison Carrée de Nay, located near Pau, is presenting the first-ever exhibition dedicated to the renowned milliner Jean Barthet (1920–2000), created in collaboration with his son, Alexandre Barthet.

This legendary hatmaker left an indelible and unique mark on the history of fashion for more than forty years. Serving both celebrities — from Grace Kelly to Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Lauren Bacall, Michael Jackson, and Catherine Deneuve — and the greatest haute couture houses, the artisan carried his ever-renewed creative genius across the decades. His name still echoes in Annie Leibovitz’s photo shoots for Lady Gaga.

A success story and an extraordinary destiny, a tribute to a profession, a touch of celebrity, and the imagination of luxury and glamour are the essence of this exhibition, which showcases hats, photographs, drawings, sketches, drafts, films, and other memorabilia.

The exhibition is open to the public until October 11th 2025 in the city of Nay in France.
